An Unexpected Gift

Last weekend, we were approached by a couple, our dear friends and prayer warriors. Our friends shared with us that they have been praying for God's guidance and direction for us as we continue down this adoption road. They also shared that they would like to help us financially. We honestly were not prepared for what would come next.

Our friends said, "We have been trying to decide what would be the most expensive part of an international adoption--and we decided that it would probably be the travel. So, we would like to pay entirely for your first trip's airfare."

My eyes immediately teared up. What an extravagant gift! I was completely humbled that our friends would choose to display their love to us and our future child in such a tangible way.

This entire journey has been a journey of faith-building. When Dave and I knew that God was directing us to adopt a child, we were so very unsure as to how God would provide the means to do this. But, step by step, God has provided. The financial mountain seems insurmountable, but God is faithful. When He calls His children to do something, He will enable them to accomplish it! God is good. He will show Himself strong.
